St Mary's Church Upton

Making a difference, wherever we are, as we share Faith For Life in Christ

Welcome to St Mary’s

St Mary’s is a thriving church in the heart of Upton, Wirral. We are an Anglican family church with activities for all ages and a whole variety of interests.

We also offer support to people at different stages in life. Whether a time of celebration or a time of crisis, we are here to help. Above all, we are a church that believes Jesus makes sense of the world we see around us, bringing meaning and certainty, and hope for eternity.

Moving forward together.

St Mary’s remains a place of care and prayer for the community, but we have had to adapt the way we meet together and use our buildings.

A to Z of Living Lightly

We are committed to making as little negative impact on our planet as possible. We believe that we are made in the image of God and have a role and responsibility to care for and look after the world he has entrusted to our care. We’ve put together an Alphabet of Living Lightly, to encourage you to think of ways you might be able to tread more lightly as you live in this beautiful world.

The vision of our church is to make a difference wherever we are as we share faith for life, by celebrating our faith in Jesus through our ‘worship’ in the widest sense and by welcoming people and helping them to belong to our Church family.
