Give thanks to a generous God

Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the splendour and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth is yours. All things come from you, and of your own do we give you.

Welcome to our giving and generosity page.

Here is the opportunity to join in with all that God is doing in His Church and in communities here and overseas. On these pages you will read of opportunities to support so many areas of church family life, through our services and through activities and events in our church buildings throughout the week.  This is especially the case as we see activities start up again after C19 lockdown. We are beginning to welcome people again to enjoy meeting together safely.

St Mary’s receives no central funding by grants or the national church. Our God is generous and has given us the ability to live and give generously, in so many ways – with our time, our money, our gifts. Thank you to all who give faithfully, generously and prayerfully to the ministry and mission of St Mary’s Church, especially in times of changing circumstances for so many, and in this time we thank God for the extraordinary generosity of His people.

Thank you to all that give.

Welcome to all that want to join in with God’s generosity and give of their finances and their time in a new way. We have two ways to give – and you can give in time and money. Follow the links below.

You may want to talk to someone about how to give in time or financially. Please get in touch with Nikki if you would like to talk about how to give in time (nikki@stm-upton.org.uk) or Simon if you would like to discuss financial giving (through the Church Office, 0151 677 1186 or office@stm-upton.org.uk).

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

From 2 Corinthians 9

Thank you

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it”
